“When I received this and opened the box I was not a happy camper. The mesh surrounding the feeder was terribly bent and did not close above the bottom copper piece. When I put the thistle in it poured out. No matter how meticulously I reset the mesh in the bottom piece it did not fully fit. So after many attempts at working the mesh to fit without losing copious amounts of thistle I made it work. I have a lot of birds feeding from it now, and the backyard squirrel can’t “steal” any food! I’m seriously thinking about purchasing another one for my neighbor…but I’ll open it first in case I need to make it usable.”
