“I am happy to have this clear cover over our bird feeder. Now e have much less wasted seed and also much less clumping from the rain. I also like that it is clear and has the included hooks. It gave us some flexibility in hanging locations that we couldn’t consider before. The best Pat is that it is crystal clear so we still have unobstructed views of visiting birds. Get one, it’s simple but effective.”
“This clear hanging dome works good over the top of my bird feeder to keep the rain not only off of the birdfeeder, but the birds as they eat. Not that they mind the rain, they are out there eating whether it is sunny and dry or pouring rain. It also gives the added benefit of giving the squirrels something to think about before they try jumping onto the feeder at least from the top. It’s clear so it goes with any color feeder and surroundings. It seems to be quite sturdy and not a thin, flimsy plastic but I would still handle it with some care as like any plastic it could be cracked. There were two types of metal hooks to hang it. One is a regular “c” shaped hook that screws into it or there is one that is a “circle” type hook, which one to use depends on what type of pole or such that you are using to hang your feeder. The C type hook is what works with ours and it went together easily enough and is hanging well on the pole covering the feeder. It doesn’t disturb the birds, does baffle the squirrels, and keeps the feeder clean and dry.”
