“This is a basic short pole and if that is all you need, then it will fit your needs. I needed to add this to an extension and there is no way to lock the two pieces together. Other options have threads to connect or push button lock pins. Since there was no locking mechanism, the two pieces were able to rotate and caused the platform feeder to spin, which scared the birds.”
