The material seems to be a composite wood similar to trex decking, so I have no worries about it degrading in weather, and the cable is a nice coated cable. “I love feeding the woodpeckers at my house. I got this Suet Feeder and was pretty excited to put it out for the birds. When sliding the top cover up to insert a suet cake, the cable/handle crimp fell apart. I never even got a chance to use it. It seems like a poor design that is likely to fail over time, or in my case - immediately. Not very happy with it.”
