“Wreath is beautiful and birds love it. However, it is an easy target for squirrels. I was given an identical one from another manufacturer that included hot pepper and the squirrels avoided it. I tried sprinkling some on but it needs to be mixed into the wreath.”

You’re absolutely right — squirrels can be persistent, especially with wreath-style feeders since they’re easy to access from multiple angles.
Hot pepper is a great deterrent because birds aren’t affected by it, but squirrels definitely are.
