Oriolefest Oriole Bird Feeder for Oranges Jelly and 12 oz Nectar Reviews

4.8 Rating 163 Reviews
After being mesmerized watching hummingbirds last summer, I decided to add an oriole feeder to my collection. This feeder has three options, nectar, orange half and grape jelly. I started with the grape jelly, which was a huge success. Within hours they had discovered the jelly and told all their friends. Within 24 hours, it was all gone. I added an orange half and they enjoyed it as well. It’s a little early in the season so I’m not 100% positive they were orioles but I was happy to get birds of any variety. The hook is thin and should keep ants from reaching the jelly. The unit is solid, well made, and easy to clean. I have purchased other items from Birds Choice before and this has met all my expectations. If you want to add nectar, you can use hummingbird nectar (1 part sugar to 4 parts water) or oriole nectar,(1 part sugar to 6 parts water). We had a severe thunderstorm one afternoon and the feeder withstood the high winds and remained on the tree.

I was looking for a small but durable bird feeder to feed the Orioles that come into my yard. I saw this bird feeder and decided to give it a try. It was very easy to put together and get set up in small tree by my backyard deck. It’s colorful and also easy to fill. It’s such an enjoyable thing to sit outside and view nature in its best form. I will be purchasing a couple more to put in the front yard as well. I’m very pleased with it. If you love bird watching it’s definitely a good thing to buy.

This feeder is very easy to use and hangs from smaller tree branches or hook/stand. I had it out for orioles but hummingbirds seem more interested or perhaps not orioles in my area.

This feeder is easily assembled. Although there are no instructions i could find, but its mostly common sense. I wish the top of the feeder snapped onto the base so it was a bit more secure. We've not had any birds feed from it yet. Not sure if its just a bit too early or they don't like the feeder design.

I love that this bird feeder provides several options for feeding. Assembly was quick and easy. Mix up the nectar and pour it in. There is an ant moat, just fill it with water. Pop the included bee guards on the under side and put the top piece on. Punch the brass rod through an orange half and screw it on. Add some grape jelly into the depressions and hang it up! It's been un-seasonally cold here, so I haven't seen many birds yet, but any day they should be swarming around!

I have many different bird feeders but the oriole feeder was one I did not have. It was easy to put together but awkward to hang up. I filled the feeder and then hung in the tree so the liquid I put in did spill. I would recommend hanging the feeder first and then filling.

I have always loved watching birds and I've even saved a hummingbird before. I've only ever done the pinecone feeders for some reason. Enter the ORIOLEFEST ORIOLE FEEDER! Why didn't I think of using one before? I'm not sure but I'm not going back. This is so easy to put together and they thought of everything by having a bee guard and an ant moat to prevent bug issues. I love that they give you the idea of using grape jelly and/or orange slices in addition to or instead of nectar. It makes it easy and fun in a pinch! I'm getting one for all of my friends and family and even thinking of having it as part of a house warming gift for my sister. Get one yourself! You won't regret it!
