The Birds Choice 12” Classic Hanging Bird Feeder with Baffle Weather Guard is really nice! This bird feeder is made well, it’s easy to set up, and it works well. This bird feeder is made extremely well. The body and baffle are made out of UV resistance polycarbonate, the top is baked enamel coated, and the seed port and perches are made out of aluminum. Inside it has a metering ring to help distribute the seed to the ports. The weather baffle not only protects the birds from rain and snow, but also can be lowered to keep larger birds out of the feeder. Setting up the bird feeder was relatively easy and straightforward. All you have to do is remove the protective plastic from the baffles, attach two screws on one end of the baffle, then place it over the feeder, and then align and attach two more screws. The hardest part is lining up the last screw but once you hold it together correctly, it goes pretty fast. The inner ring that helps distribute the seed works really well. It’s also very easy to hang up and looks really nice!

“First off let me start by saying this is not your average size bird feeder, it’s pretty big in size. I really like that it was packaged nicely and food was provided. Upon opening the box I noticed the protection ring around had to be assembled. Which is no big deal two small screws on each side. With long nails it was a hassle to get them on so I would suggest getting some help lol. I really be like that It’s all clear as you will be able to see who visits and stops by to eat which I found it to be a big plus with small children as they where super excited. To refill is super easy just remove the top portion. I would definitely get it if you are a bird watcher or have small children that enjoy watching animals.”

“This bird feeder is pretty cool and it was easy to put together. Only a few steps. It's large and well made except for the oning piece. It slowly slips down towards where the birds would sit to eat. If yours is like that; I'd just use it without.”
“Bird feeders are my wife's department. She knows where to hang them for best exposure and hopefully away from the squirrels who terrorize our yard. This bird feeder is about a foot high, made of Lexan ( yeah, I don't know either) and won't fade, crack or yellow. The fill cap is a polycarbonate that again will last for years. It's easy to remove the cap and fill with seed, it's all set to use right out of the box. So, it's got a metal hook to hang on a branch. We anchor ours right to the tree for more security from the wind. There are 4 feed stoops for the birds which is great in Winter. Now this doesn't look that big but you can put 5 lbs of bird seed it in - Yes, 5 POUNDS! My wife is in 7th heaven and so are the birds. We have a pair of binoculars to watch the birds from a distance at the feeders and keep a record of the ones that visit our yard. Great bird feeder that protects the birds with a shield while they eat. Nice feeder with a 3 year warranty.”

“I had been looking for a bird feeder that wouldn't get soaked during the rainy season. I got this hanging bird feeder hoping to keep squirrels from eating all the seeds and to protect the rain from soaking the seeds, which would end up wasting the bird seeds. I like the concept of allowing me to raise the guard higher for the larger birds like bluejays and cardinals.”
