“Unfortunately despite making very sure that the delivery date could be guaranteed by both emailing and speaking to Matty, the cake was not delivered to my daughter. DPD suggested delivery date was 2 days later "bad weather" - useless for a birthday cake. They would not even consider it being collected form their depot, which was 2.7 miles from my daughter's university. First time in 19 years she has not had a birthday cake on her birthday. Disappointment all round. Will not use this service again and would not recommend it to anyone.”

We are so sorry for the failed delivery of your daughters Birthday cake and we completely understand how frustrating and disappointing this was. Unfortunately due to the very heavy snowfall in the area the week before, this caused huge delays across our delivery network. Our couriers were trying to deliver all orders as soon as possible but in some areas there were delays of up to two days. We are so sorry that we were unable to control this and as a result your daughter did not receive her cake on her Birthday. “My 20 year old daughter and her friends in her Halls of Residence flat absolutely LOVED this cake and as the first time we haven't all been together for her birthday I was delighted to send something so beautiful that she and her friends could all share. Apparently it tasted amazing too - sadly the part we didn't get to enjoy :)”
