“I purchased this strap as a third replacement to the two that my raccoons chewed through. I am very happy with how the Strong Strap system is designed, but, unfortunately, the raccoons around my house are smarter than the average coon. Even though I know several people that it’s worked perfectly for, the rubber strap didn’t quite keep my coons out of my garbage. After using the strong strap for a month, the coons figured out how to chew through the rubber strap. After some thought, I finally came up with a solution. We used the well designed strong strap system, but, instead of replacing the rubber strap for a fourth time, I decided to use plastic coated cable wire and hooks. Needless to say, thanks to Blazer Brand and the Strong Strap system, our raccoon problem is solved!! I think it would be great if there was a cable wire version, or something like it, of the Strong Strap that you could buy, for those of us with “genius” pests, but I am very happy with the overall design of the Strong Strap system!! Thank you, Blazer Brand, for helping me solve a 5 year battle with these raccoons!! I highly recommend them to everyone I know with the same problem!”
