“The modesty panel does not reach all the way to the underside of the tabletop (there's approximately a 110mm gap not shown in the product photography) and nothing else is present to strengthen the top along its length. This means that, at least in the largest 1800x800mm model, the top is prone to flexing under weight and the vibration of typing at a keyboard is transmitted enough to make the monitors visibly shake, enough to make me feel motionsick. An improvised brace between tabletop and modesty panel largely solved the problem, but it's disappointing that it was necessary. Provision of such a brace would be easy for Bluespot to retrofit and would make a tremendous difference to the fitness of the product, so this problem cost one if not two stars. Do not stand on this desk or put anything unduly heavy on it. Smaller models might not exhibit the problem, or not to a troublesome extent. Otherwise, it looks like a fairly serviceable product. It's easy to assemble, but it is heavy. For most people and larger models, it's a two-person job.”

Hi David, we're really sorry to hear that you are not happy with your desk. In terms of the modesty panel, we allow a gap between it and the desktop to allow for easy cable management, so it is not designed to support the desktop. We're sorry that you are finding that your desk is flexing and vibrating. This can happen if the cams are not fully tightened (they can require a bit of force to be tightened completely), but we are keen to see if there is something we can do to help make your desk more suited to your needs.
