“I'm working from home and needed magnification for electronic smd work. Struggled with the choice between a microscope and a magnifying lamp. I decided that the magnifying lamp would get more usage for the family than a microscope, plus it was the lower cost solution. A microscope would require an additional ring light. So far, I'm happy with the choice. The LED lamp provides enough adjustment of the brightness and the magnifying lens has just enough magnification and work distance for my soldering work.”
