“This is an excellent option for someone like me who just needed a stand with a working overhead lamp and darkfield illumination, but didn’t need or want to buy a whole new microscope. The B&L focus rack fits my GIA Gem Instruments Leica head from my Gemolite Mark X perfectly. I loved that it also came with the round focus rack for other heads. It came quickly with free shipping, and was extremely well packaged. It is solidly built, and I love the tension tilt, and the focus length. The only minor things I didn’t love were that the stage only came with one mounting for the clip, which is very sharp and comes loose with very little rotation. I also wish that the overhead lamp was detachable and brighter, maybe led…. Not necessary, but would have liked a slightly longer cord. All in all I am pleased with and would recommend this stand.”
