“The session was lovely. My son was a bit overwhelmed and unsure when we first got there but the staff did really well trying to engage him and make him feel safe and welcome, they also asked me questions on what would specifically help him to settle in and be independent from me so that I could get a brea, which made it feel like they cared about him as an individual and about me as an exhausted parent. Once he'd settled in he had a great time, he especially likes the bouncy castle and the nerf games. He talked excitedly all the way home about it and how the grown ups running the session joined in with the nerf games. He wanted to stay all day. They had hot drinks and biscuits for us. It's also just great getting to be somewhere where other parents understand the SEN parent life and will be understanding of your child's behaviour or struggles. It felt incredibly relaxed and welcoming overall.”

“We went to the SEND Multi-Sports Club today and it was absolutely fantastic! It was a small, interactive, hands on group with absolutely loads to do. The staff had lots of areas set out - there was something for all interests, alot of time and effort had clearly went into their planning. They were really friendly and accommodated the individual needs of each child. They went with the flow of each child's interests and added to each area - from den building to adding forts to their game to even adding a blow up mat to the gymnastics area. The staff asked before making loud noises, their communication was great. You could see their passion through their interaction. When it was snack time there was a variety of options. As parents we had full access to hot drinks and biscuits. In the break they blew the bouncy castle up ready for the second half. I sat with our oldest Daughter at the viewing window watching our little boy thrive and interact with the staff and also other children in games. Our youngest Daughter went to join in to support her little Brother and she played lovely with the others in the group and was included in everything. It was really nice sitting watching the group interact with each other. We've used alot of different providers throughout the school holidays over the years and personally I've never seen staff as friendly, hands on and actually have a passion in what they're doing. Whilst sitting with other parents we shared information of other local activities and groups - It's was such a lovely morning. One massive thing that shone for me was at the end of the session when the staff gave every child a positive from their session, this was something they were proud of the individual child for doing - it was personal to each child. Before leaving I was updated to how our Son had been throughout the session, this was a lovely moment for me as it's not often at all that staff have time to update parents. If I could sum up today with one word it would be AMAZING! We're already looking forward to future events Thank you ❤️”
