“This used to be my favorite flavor, but something has definitely changed with it. I used to be able to mix it with a spoon with hot water from my Keurig machine and it made a great cup of hot chocolate. But now when I do that, it's all lumpy and the taste is different. I did try it with almond milk in my shaker, and it mixed well with that, but I still think something is very different about the taste. I will have to get my chocolate fix from their Vegan Chocolate Almond Coconut, which I absolutely love. I do wish the formula for the PHC had remained the same though.”
“I’ve been buying BN protein for years and I thought I was going crazy when PHC and my other favorite, pumpkin spice, didn’t taste the same. Apparently the formula changed and it definitely negatively affected the flavor. The protein digests well and is made with high quality ingredients, but the flavor change is a huge disappointment.”
“This protein is really good - it mixes up well. I bought a 5lb tubs back when it was new and loved it. I believe the formula has changed since then—the 1lb tub I purchased tastes differently than I remember. I'm passing it off to a friend who enjoys the new taste as I prefer other flavors now, such as the Wedding Cake, Fruit Pebbles, and Carrot Cake. :) Great product overall and don't forget the rapid mixer—theirs is WAY better than anything on Amazon.”

“It is by far the best Chocolate flavor protein shake I've ever had! It's thick and smooth at the same time. I always like having two flavors so I purchased the Sample Kit of all the flavors. The second I tried the Wedding Cake Flavor I was in heaven also. (Frankly they has many great flavors). In just a matter of a few weeks I have been able to start seeing the benefits of the Whey Protein and the Collagen. I also ordered the Joint Supplements and the BCAA. “I bought this because there were SOOOOO many positive reviews. The first 2 weeks of me using it, I had to choke it down. And the aftertaste lasted longer than I would have liked. Since then, I've tried it hot, cold, with water, with milk, with coffee. I've adjusted and I drink it because I paid for it, but I won't be buying again. I gave it 3 stars because I like to think that Bowmar Nutrition does use excellent ingredients, but, because of the taste, I can't give it higher.”
