“I bought the stoppers thinking they might keep the wind from occasionally blowing the flag over the top of itself, although they aren't advertised that way. They don't solve that problem. I've never had an issue with a flag ever blowing off of the stand. The only use can see to adding the stopper is to keep yard hoodlums from stealing your flag because it takes a little extra work to take the stopper off and on. But if you DO have a problem with your flag completely blowing from your stand, then I guess these stoppers would do the trick.”

“We always have had trouble with strong winds sliding out garden flags off the end of the stands even though the arm is curved. These rubber stoppers put a STOP ( pun intended) to that. Just slide them onto the stand after putting on the flag and they stay in place.”
