“I chose Brilliant Earth for my fiancee's engagement ring purchase because of their ethically-sourced diamonds. I also enjoyed utilizing the website's detailed tools for narrowing down my search for the specific diamond. Unfortunately, I wasn't that impressed with the packaging/delivery of the diamond. For the amount of money I spent on this ring, you would think you would be receiving a nicely put-together package when it came. This wasn't the case. The internal packaging looked cheap and was poorly constructed. It looked even more low quality once I compared it with packaging from Blue Nile after I purchased a wedding ring from them. I paid a fraction of the cost for the Blue Nile wedding ring, yet the packaging and presentation was far superior. Additionally, the diamond earrings that were complimentary with my Brilliant Earth purchase came bent. Customer service quickly resolved this issue for me, but the reason they came bent was because of the poor packaging decisions the company made to begin with. The platinum setting of the engagement ring also came scratched, but my fiancee and I have opted to get the ring polished on our own rather than sending it back. Overall, I would still recommend Brilliant Earth to others, simply for their conflict-free diamond choices and website tools for narrowing your search, but everything else about the experience left more to be desired, especially for having paid such a larger premium compared to competitors.”
