My fiancee and I personally feel very strong about the idea of a lab created diamond vs. A mined diamond, and that the carbon footprint and ethical sourcing is very important to both of us. Having the opportunity to look at a large array of Lab diamonds was awesome, no local jewelry offered them and usually had lesser quality mined stones. For a similar price I was able to give her a 1) higher quality stone 2) an ethically sourced stone and 3) a big F#$%^NG stone. She was absolutely thrilled that I listened to her desire for a Lab stone but was also able to deliver a big stone. She said, and I quote "never in my life would I have even considered the idea of having a 1K stone, I thought you would get me a .5K stone at max"

He chose platinum with moissanite (which I had expressed that I prefered these because platinum is very durable for everyday wear and I personally do not care to have a diamond since moissanite is second in hardness to it. He went for a cusion shape which I think is a nice way to change things up. The nature vibes coming off the ring with the leaf/vine-like appearance really speak to my style.
