“This review is for the 6 prong petite comfort setting only. Brilliant earth gemstones and customer service is excellent and have been very easy to work with. This setting is very cute, petite and dainty. However, it is VERY thin, measured about 1 mm from top to bottom. I had it paired with a 1.5 ct solitaire round stone. It did make the stone pop, but it was so top heavy the ring constantly spun. The band also scratched up like crazy with regular use after 1 month and it started to warp after 2 months. Keep in mind, this setting cannot sit flush with a traditional wedding band because the prongs sit very low. Even if you chose an open cuff or tapered band, you cannot fit pave stones in a band that would match the thinness of this setting. I went to several jewelers who warned that the setting would have to be replaced several times over the life of the ring due to the band/stone ratio. I would consider this setting if your stone is smaller than 1ct, you do not plan on wearing it during regular/heavy use and if you are ok with the band not sitting flush with a traditional wedding badn . Ultimately, I had the setting changed to the 6 prong classic. This setting is very similar to the Tiffany setting with a very nice knife edge. It feels much more solid , does not spin, scratch or warp. I have also been able to find plenty of open cuff wedding rings that are similar in width that can support pave diamonds.”
