“BUYER BEWARE. This setting looks beautiful in pictures and on the surface, based on reviews posted on Brilliant Earth's website, we thought the quality of the ring would be average or above average (and would be built to last a lifetime - that's the point of an engagement ring, right?). We thought wrong. Within a couple of months of wearing the ring and taking exceptional care of the ring (I watched my fiance take it off for any and every simple task), the ring literally fell apart in half (see pictures). The head literally fell off the shank of the ring while my fiance was just sitting on the couch one night watching TV. In the pictures you can see the clearly inadequate and defective craftsmanship - they attempted to join together a 2 carat center store and halo surround to an extremely thin shank with a single low quality spot weld. The story only gets worse from there. We sent it back to brilliant earth and were told the repair team was unable and ""uncomfortable"" trying to repair the ring so they proposed making a new setting. At this point we had done a lot of our own research and learned that other jewelers don't have this type of halo design (for obvious reasons now that we saw how it fell apart in half. Blue Nile has a very similar setting but they will only mount it with up to a 1.5 carat center stone - knowing anything heavier would lead to catastrophic failure as occurred with our ring). When we raised concerns with the same thing potentially happening again with another Waverly setting and the same center stone, and that we would not agree to take on that risk (what if next time we end up losing the center stone?), they refused to agree to any of our very reasonable alternative proposed solutions. They refused to provide a refund, they refused to agree to build another setting instead of the Waverly at no cost to us, and they refused to discuss the replacement process with the center stone. ""Customer service"" is non-existent. Go elsewhere!”

“It took me a long time before deciding on the Waverly setting for my engagement ring vs a solitaire. The waverly ring my fiance and i looked at at the showroom had almost no gap between the halo and the diamond but the ring we received had a much more noticeable gap. So we sent it back and Brilliant Earth was great about offering to shorten the prongs for us. I was really happy with the ring (it's truly beautiful), but after a little over a month of wearing it, I just noticed one of the halo diamonds have fallen out. I'm starting to regret not getting a solitaire and am weary of sending my ring back and forth.”
“My fiance purchased the Waverly with a 2.02 diamond inside and although it was one of the most beautiful rings I've ever seen I had to have him return it because the band is super thin. The ring looks very fake, like a toy or maybe you got it from the flea market. Please pay attention to the band width to ensure you're comfortable with a band that thin and tiny. This ring is more meant to be layered with at least 2 other bands.”

I got to try on a lot of rings, and finally tried on THE one. This ring is so beautiful in person! I love how thin the band is, and all of the diamonds make it shine even brighter. The ring itself is very light, but it fits perfectly because brilliant earth got my size when we visited the showroom, so I do not worry about it slipping off. I love my ring so much, and I am so happy that my fiance took me to brilliant earth to find it.”
