“I really loved this keyboard. Used it for 2 years through college. It allowed me to take quick notes on my iPad and alter/write papers quickly without having to lug around my big laptop. It was great until recently the keys stopped working. For some reason the whole bottom two rows (the row including the spacebar and the row of keys above that row) not longer work and the top three rows (the rows all of the function keys, the numbers and the top row of letter keys) all have altered button presses. For example if I press the 7 key, I get an H. I'm not sure what happened to cause the keyboard to all of a sudden stop working. It's disappointing because this was NOT a cheap keyboard and I certainly have no intentions of purchasing another in this size as I plan on upgrading iPads soon but for the time that it did work it was really great. And I bought the gold version which matches the gold color of my iPad perfectly! I recommend this product but hesitantly warn that it may be fragile. I don't know what happened to mine to suddenly cause it to break but whatever it was, my iPad underwent the same stress and my iPad looks perfect....”

“Pros: This pairs easily and consistently. I have never had a problem with the keyboard not being recognized as soon as I open it. Color match of the space gray is perfect. This definitely makes my ipad look like a laptop. Cons: It's heavy and a bit bulkier than a 12" air. They seem to be of comparable weight and sometimes I wish I had just purchased that. Of course the benefit is having the ipad features and the ability to separate the keyboard and use the tablet as a drawing pad, etc. For what I needed, a smaller more portable device to edit papers and write, this is a bit bulkier than I would prefer. The keyboard sometimes misses key strokes. This is beyond frustrating, bc I find that I cannot type as quickly as I do on a laptop. Perhaps I am not pressing hard enough, but the same pressure and pace seems to work just fine on a laptop so i can only assume this is some kind of issue with the keyboard. Maybe it's my particular keyboard?? I also find the keys to be small. I am a woman with an average sized hand and cannot let my two hands rest evenly on the keyboard as I do on a laptop bc the span is too squished. Bottom line: I would rate this a 3.5 if I could. I find this to be a nice way to increase functionality of my ipad, but not ideal as a replacement for a laptop.”
