Can’t say enough about the feel, looks and design. Especially love that the keyboard is weighted enough to sit in my lap with the iPad open and it won’t tip over or slip off. No matter the degree you open the iPad, it stays put!! However, the keyboard is stiff. Actually, it’s really stiff. I realize they purposely raised the keys to give it a more “real” typing feel. But you do have to press extra firm to get an accurate spelling. I bought one, returned it because the keyboard was so stiff it was like actually using an old typewriter. Returned it, bought another, it’s better. Also, for board meetings, and class rooms, the keyboard is a bit noisy.

I had been thinking abut purchasing this keyboard for a while, but finally purchased it when the price was reduced to $99.99 and I also took advantage of an additional discount. I had been using a Logitech Keys to Go Keyboard. The KTG keyboard was a good keyboard, but not having the keyboard integrated with the iPad necessitated for the two pieces to be carried separately. And, it also had a very limited angle to hold the ipad. With the Brydge 9.7, the infinite number of angles, from 90 to 180, is a very good feature. The clips hold the ipad very securely. The exact fit of the ipad and the keyboard makes this a very professional-looking unit. I have a gold ipad, and the gold Brydge matched almost identically. It took me about a week to get used to the correct amount of pressure to use on the keys to get consistent typing of the characters. The KTG keyboard has a very light touch, but the Brydge takes more direct pressure, and in the beginning, I would mistype words through missing typing individual letters. I think in future designs, to adjust the vertical travel that is necessary to actuate the keys; perhaps, adjusting the springs (assuming there are keys). The function keys on the top row are very useful. I liked the screen shot key on the KTG, so I do miss that. I like the backlit keys feature - it is useful when I am unable to have lights on in the room. I don’t need to look at the keys while typing, but every once in a while, i do need to look at the keyboard to find a key, and the backlit feature does help. I have had the keyboard for 2 weeks, and only have needed to charge it upon receipt, but have not had to recharge even with heavy daily use. The instruction manual should mention that by holding the cmd key down for a couple of seconds brings up a pop up screen which shows the cmd combinations available for a particular application - I found that by accident, and feel that it is a very useful feature. All in all, I am happy with the purchase, and I find myself needing to touch the screen much less often.

I like the easy connectivity of the Brydge with my iPad Air. It maintains the connectivity much better than the Incipio keyboard I was using. I love the easy removal of my iPad from the keyboard - I just worry about the protection of my iPad since there isn’t anything covering the iPad itself. Otherwise, I really like the quality and inventiveness of the Brydge keyboard!

Aesthetically the product looks great and fits great. I have had issues with some letters on the keyboard not responding well when typing. Although I have also found that the more I use the keyboard the more responsive it gets. I would buy this product again.

I like the keyboard but I would have got one from another company that protects both the top of my iPad had I known brydge doesn’t make cases for the 9.7. Why make covers for every one but this one? I guess it my bad for assuming if the made a keyboard they made a corresponding cover.
