“This should be thought of as a keyboard, not a case. It does not provide drop protection of any sort. But as a keyboard it shines. It is beautiful. The finish looks seamless with the iPad. The battery lasts so long I forget that it’s necessary to charge it. It is robust and is a very compatible companion for my iPad Pro. But, a few disappointments: I open up the iPad and start typing, but it takes 5 seconds or so to recognize that it needs to switch from on-screen keyboard to the Brydge. By that time, i’m 5 words in to whatever I was typing. If I have it open on my desk listening to music, it will disconnect from the iPad in a sleep mode, and I won’t realize it. So when I use the volume buttons, it takes 5 full seconds to register my input and change anything. The other thing is that the keyboard layout is not the same as a Mac. Particularly the screen brightness and volume buttons are not where they are on a Mac. So, though i would like to seamlessly press the second to right top button to turn my music up, I find myself having to look at the keys and reference where the volume up button is. It’s just 1 key away, but it could have been executed better in design phase. As stated in other reviews, the keys are hard to press, and when i’m really typing, sometimes it misses a letter. Usually autocorrect catches it, but not al ays. Lastly, I didn’t realize when I bought it that it would be battery powered, thus requiring me to desperately charge it. The battery life is awesome, so I haven’t had a lot of trouble with it, but since my last iPad keyboard didn’t have to be charged, i didn’t realize this one would have to be. My fault for assuming. They also did not include a wall adapter, only a short usb cable, requiring me to use my own user-supplied wall adapter. Overall I think the keyboard is suited to my needs, but I had some unexpected disappointments. I don’t think this is the clear winner among it’s market, but I like the product and will stick with it for the time being.”

“I also ordered an Apple keep stored for my new iPad Pro 9.7 and liked the Brydge sooooo much better that I returned the Apple keyboard the very next day! This one is high quality aluminum metal with a lighted keyboard that stays charged for weeks. I can’t say enough good about it. It is worth every penny and I’m going to get one for my mom for Christmas.”
