Was initially sceptical about my shiny new iPad being anchored effectively purely at the corners, but it feels really solid. The biggest compliment I can give, is that my Macbook Pro hasn't been used at all since having this. I am a Web Designer and illustrator so flipping between laptop and tablet mode is a common action for me. Removing the tablet is easy, and I like the fact that I can still use the keyboard for keyboard shortcuts. Fitting it back in to the keyboard is okay, and gets easier each time. Ultimately very pleased.

Keyboard is excellent. Good size and excellent for typing. Fits well with my iPad (now that I have the right one) and integrates exceptionally well. Even though it is intended to hold the iPad weight, the keyboard and iPad combination makes it heavy (only drawback).

The keyboard is very nice and would be even better if I could get a clear membrane like I use on my desktop unit to keep dust and dirt off of the keyboard.

I really like this keyboard. It works as it should, albeit a bit small on the 11 inch iPad Pro, even for someone with hands that far from huge. I also love how it turns an iPad into a small MacBook Pro, given the processor in the latest round of iPad Pros. However, I do not understand why this keyboard is so heavy. For the given weight, you would think it carried a backup battery for reserve power, but it doesn’t. It’s just extremely heavy and much thicker than it needs to be. In addition it is not possible to manually swipe the screen from the bottom since the joint between the iPad and the keyboard is so restrictive. And finally, it’s not only difficult to push the iPad into the brackets, but the notion of pulling it out to flip it over and use as an iPad-only is not a selling point, since it’s a royal pain in the arse to do so. That said, I still like this keyboard much more than Apple’s new version that’s sold adjacent to the iPad Pro. This keyboard is backlit and the keys actually feel like they belong to a keyboard, rather than some barely sensitive bubbles on a vinyl protector. And speaking of which, the additional magnetic protector that comes with the Brydge is ideal, to say the least. I’d give it 5 stars if it weren’t so heavy for no apparent reason!

I bought my original Brydge keyboard and had very high hopes for it. From the start, the charging was very intermittent and I was never able to get much use out of it before it died. I set it aside for a few weeks of traveling due to the lack of sustained charge. When I picked it back up a month later, it wouldn’t charge at all. I e-mailed and got no response for weeks. After several follow up e-mails, I received a response from customer service that it had been too long since I received my keyboard and that I was out of luck. No warranty, no offer or replacement or repair. Leaving this as a warning to others - check your keyboard thoroughly upon receiving it. They didn’t help me or seem concerned at all.

I have had inexpensive keyboards that work, but there’s a real difference. First of all, the others I have had included a folio in different versions. So I’d have to snap my iPad out of the folio to use it without the keyboard. And they didn’t feel anywhere near as solid. Now to the Brydge keyboard. I was getting ready to order the Apple keyboard and take a chance that the negative reviews were overstated when I ran across an article about the accessories worth considering for your iPad (or something like that). I saw the Brydge keyboard and looked at the reviews, which were much like mine-full of practical praise for the actual usability and reliability. My only negative is weight, but I had looked at the weight before I ordered and was prepared for it. And honestly, it really makes the ‘laptop’ mode much more stable since i use it most often in my lap. And considering the cost of the iPad Pro 11, having that solid, stable feeling is comforting. I have had this style of keyboard for my iPad mini for several years and this was the style i was looking for. The keystrokes are solid feeling and I have no complaints so far about the position of the Shift and Enter keys on the right side. Keystrokes are consistent and there is no apparent lag between the keyboard and the screen. I appreciate the point of the magnetic back cover, although it wouldn’t have changed my opinion if it wasn’t part of the deal. I’m pretty careful with my electronics, so the risk of scratching is minimal. I have to say if you’re on the fence about this keyboard, I’d recommend you take the plunge.

I’ll be honest an say that I dropped a star because I think the price is a little steep. With that said, I really love this keyboard (feel free to add a star). The main selling point for me is the laptop like styling, I don’t mean the look (which is nice) but the size. Most of the cases that I have tried use some sort of kickstand that is not easy to balance on your knee. I have a pretty heavy battery an ssd drive and a usb c hub strapped to the back of my iPad with no danger of tipping or hinge strain. I have moved from a Logitech keyboard case and I am happy that I did. If I am honest the keys on the Logitech felt a little better but not enough to be the deciding factor. The build of the brydge (spell check really does not like this btw) is spectacular, the all metal design looks and feels great. My only criticism is over the battery. Brydge claims that you can get 12 months out of it, I’m sceptical . I use the keyboard daily and after a week the charge is around 20%. I am thinking the backlight is the biggest drain, your usage may vary.
