I have a couple of other keyboards for my 12.9, including Apple’s, but have had a real problem with my fingertips touching the screen and sending characters who knows where... proofreading hell. The smart connector puts the screen too close to the top of the keyboard for me. The Brydge not only solves this issue, it blends beautifully with my space gray iPad, and is one of the nicest keyboards to type on I have ever used. The backlighting is very good, as are the row of function keys at the top. Highly recommended.

I bought this to replace my 2nd (failed) Zagg Slim Book keyboard and case. I love that it's lighter than the Zagg version. The only thing that keeps me from giving a five star rating is that there is a delay in the pairing from one use to the next. The first three characters I type don't appear... as if it takes 3 characters to 'wake' the keyboard pairing.

I was expecting a lot more from this keyboard. I’ve had to charge it every couple of weeks that I’ve had it. I was under the impression the charge would last a much longer time. Also, a screw randomly fell out of the back of the keyboard. I emailed the company about this but got no response. I put the screw back in myself but am concerned about the long term durability.

When I received the unit I noticed immediately how well made and solid it was. I expected it to be like this considering how much it cost. Experience has taught me you get what you pay for. There are two issues that cause me to only award three stars. When I ordered, I was not informed the unit I ordered was on backorder and I had to call after a week to see where it was. In defense of Brydge, they were extremely apoligitic and agreed with me that they should have contacted me. They offered to send my unit with two day shipping at no extra charge to help expedite. The other issue is the unit itself. When you place the unit into the brackets, they are black rubber and are instrumental is holding the unit solidly in the flip cover. For whatever reason, the rubber gripper on the left side of my unit was all crumpled and out of position and I took about 45 minutes to put it all back into correct position so it would function properly. I am fairly mechanical and I can only imagine the difficulty one who is not mechanically inclined might have. I felt it was poor quality control. Somebody missed that on final inspection. Now that I am using the unit full time I would recommend it to all who are looking for a high quality protective keyboard to supplement their iPad Pro. I’d have give a five star review except for the two issues I detailed. Bottom line, I think they are worth the cost and I’d buy again.
