I purchased 2 of these keyboards for 12.9" iPads. Upon receiving, one of the first two units didn't function. (Wouldn't connect to any device) That example was returned for a replacement. The second unit functioned great, as did the replacement. A few weeks in, one of the units stopped holding a charge and was dropping the device connection so we returned it for a refund because they were no longer available on Amazon. Another month or two went by and the other unit started having problems with keys not working and not holding a charge longer than about a day. Too late to return it through Amazon so I have to deal with Warranty. Don't get me wrong, I love these keyboards. They are the nicest on the market. They have a super robust design and are SO much nicer than the plastic garbage that is available. That said, I really need to get a reliable version. It is entirely possible that we got 3 out of 3 bad units and that most of them are great. I will add that these keyboards are not abused in our office. They sit in one place, they don't get banged around and they might get used a total of two to four hours per day.

The keyboard is a great product for its purpose. Only possible future addition is the ability to boost the iPads battery.

I want to love this unit. The fit and finish is great and it does well holding the iPad. I was worried that at angles of greater than 90 degrees it might not be able to support the weight of the iPad. So far that has not been my experience. The design matches the iPad very well. So that is the good. The bad is that as an actual keyboard it isn’t that amazing. It seems like it goes to sleep frequently or something so the first time after I try to use it after a few minutes break I have to hit the keys a few times before it catches up and reconnects. Once connected you have to hit the keys just right, and rather hard, for them to register. If you hit a key somewhat off center, or wherever it likes to be hit, it won’t register. I don’t so much mind the sleep time, but not registering keystrokes unless you are very precise is quite annoying.

I have two iPads. I wouldnt necessary be thrilled with this keyboard on the 10.5, but to me it’s perfect for the 12.9. Before I I bought the brydge, my weapon of choice was the magic keyboard. I think the brydge is a serious keyboard — not a compromise. One thing I will say. My brydge is a 5 star purchase. But I have friends and acquaintances who were early adopters and ran into early adopter mechanical problems. Brydge treated them well. a year later my friends are still happy. If you happen to have bad luck, it’s worth getting a free replacement and give it a second try.
