the construction is solid, it work well, but opening it up is cumbersome. there's no notch or tab to use to pry it apart from the ipad.

I really like the Brydge Keyboard and it is a quality product. If there was one ask it would only be to have the ability to use the iPad connectors as part of this product.

I would love to give you a glowing review but I have yet to receive my gold one I preordered on June 8th. I know you are trying to keep me posted and have a lot of back orders. Last message you sent said that you would be shipping the gold at the end of September, yet I have not heard back.

The good: This keyboard is brilliantly designed for input and build/material quality is excellent. Key assignment/place/touch is excellent as well. Variable screen angle is another plus. Best iPad keyboard I've used to date. The not-so-good: 1) It doesn't take advantage of the iPad's smart connector for connecting and charging, but instead relies on Bluetooth for connection and USB for charging. Clunky, but currently not a deal-killer. Brydge: I assume you working on this? Hope so, as Apple will certainly pay attention to your successes and shortcomings. Perhaps try to purchase you? (I've long had hopes for Bluetooth to come into its own, but more and more, it seems to be an interim level means of connection (think fax). My guess is that either a large incremental improvement will come fairly soon, or within say, 36 months, another technology altogether will come to market.) 2) The iPad and Brydge keyboard as a pair are a tad heavy. I presently use my smart keyboard when I'm about town all day long, and the Brydge in all other circumstances. Having both keyboards makes the most sense if you have the cash. If I were to choose one, I'd take the Brydge as it offers a much greater user experience.

Keyboard works very well. Advertized that it can work in tablet mode but it does not. Only opens 180 degrees which makes it a long system, not a tablet. Bluetooth which works very well, but have to charge the battery. If it used the connector like the Apple keyboard, I would have given it a 5 star and the ability to fold the keyboard to the back side to make it a tablet.

was about to return,as i was so frustrated in attempting to have it be recognized by my Ipad .Other bluetooth gadgets ,were recognized rapidly .It takes sooo loooong ,just wasting my time ,especially that im a very busy guy.i ceased using it ,as it is not reliable .Even if states that it has been paired already or connected ,still wouldnt respond right away .im using my laptop anew ,instead ,faster and no hassles!

So far this keyboard has done everything I hoped and needed it for. Battery life is great... keys feel good enough. Several things holding it back from being perfect... First, I wish it could somehow connect and charge using the smart connector. Second, I wish this device supported the bluetooth setting on iOS to display battery life on screen. Third, I wish the keys could be moved up a little more leaving some more rest area for my palms... I guess these are possible things that can be implemented on part two. Outside of those things... I use this thing everyday with my iPad and it was definitely worth the wait.
