This keyboard is solid and it exceeded my expectations. It does weigh more than the type cover, but it transforms your surface.

This has made using my Surface Pro so much easier and far more convenient that the keyboard it came with. I would highly recommend it to anyone that has a Surface Pro.

There is much to like about the Brydge. It does what it says it will do and looks and connects nicely to the Surface Pro 4. However, I have had a number of times when there is a big lag between typing and seeing it on my screen. Other times it just takes numerous attempts for the keys strokes to register. This was very unexpected and unfortunate. So for now I can only give it 3 stars while I continue to test it out.

This product is AMAZING!! Love it! It does double the weight, but it is so stable. Just wish Brydge would release the protective shell for the Surface Pro

The weight is good, the design is great. But, the trackpad is small and not always very repsonsive, also the aluminium edage around the trackpad is very sharp. It should be chamfered really. It like to see the keyboard keys go back slightly and be slightly closer together to allow for a larger trackpad. Also, despite buying from the UK website it doesn't have a UK layout. This means that if in UK layout on the Surface, the backslash key becomes the hash key, and you have to remember to use the right-side ALT key to get the backslash, plus the other usual £,@," issues. I'd much rather a UK layout option. All that said, the benefits of the keyboard are evident and so far I've only given it an initial charge and after two weeks of pretty much 8 hours per day use it's still on green. One last idea would be to make the hinges black where it sits in front of the screen, just to lose them into the Surface a little. Fix the trackpad sharp edges and get a UK layout, and I'll be up for buying another!
