The 10.5" iPad is, IMO, the best iPad made to-date; the ultra slim bezel is a large part of that. The problem with the Brydge keyboard, is that slim bezel is lower than the back edge of the keyboard, so swiping up to bring the Dock or opening the Control Center is nearly impossible to do without lifting the iPad out of the cradle or wedging it slightly higher. If you find the product photo in the slideshow that shows the iPad open and viewed from a side angle, you can see how the keyboard cuts off the bottom part of app names. They seem to have realized this in the following photo where the screen directly faces the camera, and it sits slightly higher in the cradle. I'm honestly confused at the number of 5-star reviews in light of that fact alone. I've only used one other Bluetooth iPad keyboard, and this one seems to have a failure to register keystrokes at about the same rate as the other: about one keystroke per one or two sentences. I do not know if that is a standard connectivity limitation with all Bluetooth keyboards, but combined with the inability to use touch gestures the just-often-enough-to-be-frustrating typos from non-registering keystrokes is the reason I returned the Brydge and got a Smart Keyboard. I do miss the ability to adjust the angle of the screen, but since anything past ~110˚ tended to slowly fall fully open (after only two weeks of use), it's not a significant loss. I also wish the tabs of the cradle were shaped so that the iPad could lay flat with the screen up and backside against the keyboard for using as a low profile note-/sketchbook (something the Smart Keyboard can do). Instead, you have to remove the iPad and place the keyboard somewhere else as the tabs are more wide in the back than the front and obscure the screen if it is reversed. I would revisit the Brydge if the obstruction of the screen and touch gestures were fixed, and the iPad didn't fall open under its weight.

Bought the Brydge keyboard, glass cover and plastic case surround for my new 10.5” IPad. I’ve had three others for previous IPads, none of which came anywhere near this device for performance and quality. The Brydge has sufficient mass to keep the unit from easily being knocked off a table. It looks terrific. The keys have a positive feel that inspires confidence. Once typing, there is no latency issue. One can expect an occasional extra keystroke or two when the keyboard does it’s handshake with the IPad itself when first opened. Every keyboard does this. The glass protector was easy to apply and the plastic IPad cover protects the very easily damaged edges of the IPad itself (why i had to replace my old one). TL;Dr: High quality good looking device. Performs well above expectations.

Transforms my iPad into a small touch-screen laptop! It’s sturdy and reliable and reasonably priced... what more could anyone ask?

We first got the product for my daughters iPad Pro. It look and complemented the iPad so well we decided to get another one for the iPad i brought for myself. I have looked at a number of keyboards to be an addition to the iPad with no success. This keyboard not only fits the iPad down to the exact dimensions. It looks just absolutely gorgeous and complements the construction of the iPad. It does give it protection as well. If your looking into purchasing the iPad the Brydge keyboard will be a great addition.

This is my second Brydge so obviously I loved the first one but somehow for this some of the keys are less responsive.
