Needed to hook up a still-working LED Cinema Display to my new MacBook Pro. The dock handled my needs perfectly, once I bought a separate Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter. So far so good

We had an initial issue concerning which Bridge Stone device would work with a new Apple Air to power our old, but much loved, Apple Cinema display. The cable built into our monitor was a thunderbolt 2 plug, not a mini display cable. They look just the same, however the amount of data that can pass through the thunderbolt 2 is not enough to be compatible with mini display port. That issue was very quickly resolved by Phil who provided helpful advice concerning the use of the Stone pro in combination with a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter to use the thunderbolt display monitor. As a result of the quick action and advice we are up and running with the new Apple Air using the older Apple Monitor. Scott

My Multiport Thunderbolt 3 port has never worked from day one. External monitors are not recognized by either the USB C port or the Display Port, printers not recognized via the USB-A ports. Video in via Thunderbolt not recognized. After 6 weeks an dozens of hours I am giving up. The Multiport simply does not allow me to connect my devices. For this price, inexcusable. Support = long, complicated emails many days later.

The dock does get very warm, i had my laptop leaning on it when first setup and would cause excessive heating and fans to spin all the way up, I had to move it and have not had issue since hence my 4 star rating. other then that has great port options and would recommend it

I’m sure if this review will be posted. I have to start by saying I love the looks and sleek design of Brydge products, however, looks are not everything. The stone Pro has been nothing but problems. The device gets so hot you could fry an egg on it. I nearly burnt myself picking it up. There is a good possibility that mine was faulty but I didn’t want to take a chance again. The other concern I had was the customer service received. I ended up speaking to someone in their “technical team” but they failed to acknowledge my concerns and repeated that standard troubleshooting steps with me, mostly saying it was an issue with my hardware. I was asked to take a photo of the device with a thermometer despite explaining that I nearly burnt myself when picking it up, I suppose it was not enough. I was then told to send it back to them for inspection and that I would receive a follow up after the device was received. I waited but no follow-up was sent. I had to reach out two times and I was told I would hear back from someone within a couple of hours, that didn’t happen. On the third reach out via chat, I was told my refund had been issued to me. Respectfully, I think Brydge needs to work on the service provided to its customers. I own other Brydge products and I LOVE them but I think the Stone Pro dock does need some improvement in regards to cooling and compatibility as this was an intermittent issue for me. Hopefully this helps anyone before deciding on the Stone Pro.

The only thing it lacks in hindsight is an HDMI port, but I'm not disappointed with the purchase. Thanks.

I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship in the product. It seemed to be the only bit of hardware on the market that would link up all the external drives and let me run my new computer in the way I wanted and I was not disappointed.
