It's very durable and beautiful. It fits my iPad very well too. However, there are a lot of driver issues regarding the trackpad. It just doesn't seem to work properly on iPad OS...I tried waiting for driver updates to see if it would fix the issue, but I can still barely use the trackpad at all. The magnetic cover is also very weak and slides off very often, making it difficult to want to keep on. I really wanted to love this - but it's not the experience I was hoping for.

Attaches perfectly. Adds substantially to the total weight. Stiff opening. Typing comfortable. Track pad nice. Well built. Overall a nice way to make a tablet seem like a computer, it’s not of course

So far, so good. I like the responsiveness and the touchpad is an awesome update. The only thing that I don’t are the rubber grips that hold the iPad in place. While bigger than its predecessor, it’s still disappointing because the rubber shifts and folds on itself. My old brydge is unusable because the rubber won’t stay in place, which is one reason I upgraded. Hopefully this one lasts.

Return it. No protection for the edges of the iPad like other keyboards including the one I currently have. Also, Brydge does not sell a hard cover backing for the iPad Pro 11 else I would have kept it.

First let it be known that I've owned 4 different Brydge keyboards for iPads up til now, so this score is relative to my overall Brydge experience and relative to other keyboards I've used as well from Zagg/Logitech and Apple's Smart Keyboard Folio. First, the size of the keys is a little small relative to other options but the same as they have been on any standard iPad sized Brydge keyboard for years. It's fine and you get used to it quickly but it is a bit awkward switching back and forth from my work MacBook to the iPad. The keys themselves have a very good tactile feeling and travel to them which is very similar to the typical scissor mechanism chiclet style keys of Apple laptops prior to the butterfly mechanism (this is a very good thing). The directional arrow keys are also in an "inverted T" pattern unlike the butterfly mechanism generation of Apple keyboards (all the arrow keys are the same size and there is a gap above the left and right arrow keys). The trackpad works very well and is well integrated with iOS though it doesn't have gesture controls as the new Apple Magic Keyboard has, which is fine for me. Having dedicated function keys at the top of the keyboard more than makes up for this difference, especially with being able to control the keyboard's backlight (you need to go into the settings app to control this with the Magic Keyboard) The hinge on my particular keyboard has a weaker spring/tension than my prior Brydge keyboards, specific point of reference being my 11" Brydge Pro (without the trackpad). It reaches a point at a fairly extreme angle at which the tension becomes much weaker and the iPad is prone to falling backwards with a light touch or movement of the iPad. This has been brought to the attention of Brydge support and they state that it is expected behavior. I disagree based on prior experience with their products but it is not a serious problem currently as the angle is only reached when the device is on my lap, which is rarely my own use case. But, if you tend to use yours on your lap and expect there to be a stop point, as is the case with MacBooks, you may find yourself quite frustrated as this keyboard case is designed to allow it to lay completely flat and the point at which mine loses tension is somewhere around 145º at which point it easily falls to about 175º at which point tension is restored. The keyboard of the Pro+ does not allow the iPad to be placed in it in the reverse orientation as the non-trackpad Pro version did. The fingers or grip design of the hinge has been updated to give much better stability with a much larger rear grip. This is not a problem for me, but if you like the idea of being able to reverse your iPad in the case for video viewing or to allow it to sit flat on a table for drawing, the non-trackpad version may be a better option. The trackpad supports tap to click which I use almost exclusively and double tap and hold to drag is supported. A quick physical single-click of the trackpad initiates a double click, which is a bit irksome. Whether this is Brydge firmware or iOS, I do not know and I have an open inquiry with Brydge support on the issue. Lastly, the device does automatically put the iPad to sleep upon close which is nice, however, there is also an automatic sleep timeout for the Brydge itself (all Brydge keyboards have done this but it's more bothersome now that the trackpad makes the device feel more like a laptop). The time out to sleep is not adjustable and is present even when the keyboard is plugged into power or the iPad itself (the supplied USB-C cable is long enough to plug the keyboard in directly, though I don't see any particular benefit to doing so since it doesn't override this annoyance. It would be nice if this timeout period were customizable. It exists for battery savings, according to Brydge support, however, as a somewhat sophisticated user of the device, I would prefer to be able to control this myself. Battery level is able to be monitored easily on the keyboard itself with a color coded LED on the power button but the keyboard does appear within the "Today View" / Notification Center's Batteries widget to give an exact percentage. Overall, the build quality and design match the iPad well (aside from the hinge), the trackpad is very similar to 2014 and older hinged trackpads on MacBooks or the first generation Magic Trackpad (which is not a bad thing to me) which allows physical clicking at the bottom of the trackpad, and functionality is fairly intuitive aside from the inability to control the keyboard's battery saving sleep timeout and the quirky double click behavior.

Hi, I recently got this for my 2018 ipad pro 12.9 and the keyboard and trackpad is working great! I am typing this review on it now. An epic fail is the back cover, it doesn’t fit right for my 2018 ipad there should be 2 versions of it. Also a MUCH better design would be to have the back cover wrap around the edges of the ipad so that it will actually stay on the ipad instead of shifting or falling off all the time. The ipad is almost better without the back cover since it is such a pain to have on. Also if anyone here is listening from brydge how come there is no way to get to the home screen with the track pad once you have used face recognition to unlock the ipad. Something like double tap with 3 fingers or 2 fingers would be very helpful. Either way solid keyboard just please fix the back cover!!!
