There isn’t a single product available in this accessory category that even comes close to the Pro + in comparison. Every possible thought imaginable has gone into the development of this keyboard which, at the outset, far exceeds any competitors product. A day doesn’t go by when I’m using this keyboard with my iPad that inevitably someone comments about it and asks how they can get one. The Pro+ is simply a beautiful piece of ingenuity that anyone who owns an iPad should have. I cannot say one single thing out the Pro+ that has disappointed me. I love everything about it so much that I consistently find myself using my iPad for all of my computing needs, which proves that Brydge has successfully gotten extremely close to closing the “gap” between a portable PC and a mobile device. Thank you for this wonderful product!

Many keys were popping off, and one never seated correctly

Not really sure why--it wasn't left charging for too long or anything and it just sat on a shelf next to my computer desk for a few days. When I went to grab it again, the seams were covered in white dust like battery leakage. The dust was perfectly lined up with the seam lines, so there's no chance it came from anywhere else. Really disappointed considering the cost and wait. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately the Brydge Pro+ for my 2018 iPad Pro 11” turned out to be less impressive than I was expecting. In fact, it was quite disappointing. To begin with I had a difficult time just getting my iPad into the hinge grips, I was worried that I was going to break something so I settled for having it most of the way in which meant that the iPad didn’t line up perfectly with the keyboard. This also caused the included back protector to not line up well with the cutouts for the hinges and camera. I do have a tempered glass screen protector so that may have been the reason for this. Once I began to use it I found that the keys themselves have more travel than I am used to making them feel very “squishy” and they tip from side to side too easily as well. As a 100 word per minute touch typist I prefer my keys to have shorter travel and a crisp feel with little or no tipping. The trackpad is apparently an extremely old hinged design since it is not clickable at the top. Trying to use the trackpad for scrolling web pages and word processing documents was almost useless because it was so jittery and unpredictable in scrolling speed and smoothness (or lack of smoothness). Because of the Bluetooth connection timing out rather quickly I would often get the accessibility button on my screen which I also found rather annoying, although that is a problem that any Bluetooth trackpad would have I suppose. I only used the Brydge for two days while trying it out but in that time I had so many Bluetooth disconnections right in the middle of typing that I got very frustrated with it. If the keyboard doesn’t even stay connected reliably for typing then what use is it? I found the hinge’s strength lacking as well, more than a few times I would pick up the iPad/keyboard combo from my desk or a table and the iPad would flop all the way back. This now brings up the next usability issue I had, the maximum opening angle of 180° may be fine if you’re trying to turn your iPad into a mini-laptop but I like my iPad to be an iPad as well and the only way to have a “tablet” mode is to remove the iPad from the Brydge. Given the difficulty that I had just getting it into the hinges in the first place I wasn’t looking forward to separating them. Finally, the assembly of the iPad and Brydge together was thicker than I was expecting and a lot heavier than I was expecting. It turned my constant companion into a deskbound device which is not what I was looking for. Ultimately I had to return it, even though the return shipping came out of my own pocket I just could not justify keeping a $200 device that I would not enjoy using.
