The Brydge Keyboard is being compared to the new Apple Magic Keyboard however, the real magic is when I can mount my IPAD PRO to my stand, sit in my chair, or lie down and use my Brydge Keyboard "detached" and control my IPAD PRO FROM MY CHAIR or from my bed with the built in track board. works like "real magic".

The heavy body is still understandable. But stupid trackpads save my money. And what if you send the 2018 Ipad cover to the 2020 Ipad? You will have to send me a cover for the 2020 Ipad 12.9 !!

The accessory is completely gorgeous. It looks like a macbook keyboard and palm rest etc as one can see but i would probably either hold off on purchasing or not updating your iPad to 13.4. The 13.4.1 update or so completely ruined the functionality of the trackpad. We dont get the app expose or home shortcuts and gestures prior to the update supposedly. The scrolling can be jumpy or slow. Aside from this the rest of the keyboard is great. Types well, well-lit backlight, function row keys works like a charm. I would say tho if youre using the apple pencil to write, draw or mark while the keyboard is connected it can affect that function also. It doesnt play well together, I would have to turn the keyboard off to use the pencil properly. After Brydge’s 1.03 update though, I have not had any issue with this. This is shown to sit the iPad on the hinges facing you but if you want to face the iPad in the opposite direction the hinges touch the screen so it acts as if your touching it. This causes a problem if you want to stand it this way to watch a movie or such. Hinges can also peel your screen protector off a bit as mentioned since mine is not a Brydge screen protector. Since I’m an apple pencil user, it can be a hassle to seldom remove and reinsert the iPad to it’s hinges but that’s known ahead of purchasing. The back cover isn’t very fitted with the 2018 iPad camera bump It isn’t snug, its like the camera bump is in the way of it being snug. You would have to push the cover into the bump to make it snug. Nice cover but it can be easily removed if you’re making adjustments for viewing or being mobile with it. It would’ve been better if the cover would stick to the iPad better. In the iPad, the battery indicator shows the keyboard is at 87% even after leaving the charger connected overnight. Could possibly be more of an issue with the software that manages this. My off-market wireless earbuds varies their battery level as well. Battery may be true the company’s claim. It could very well last three months. Overall, looks and feels great. Keyboard shortcuts work well. Lights up well as well as typing but there a disconnect when it comes to functionality which is greatly annoying. As Brydge mentions though, this is something Apple would need to address, possibly with their next update after their next big event. 5/21/20 at this point, I would not recommend buying until the softwares issues are fixed. You can purchase a cheaper keyboard possibly with better protection with the same functions minus the trackpad as of today. Im greatly disappointed with how it turned out. I was very excited to get my newly purchased iPad with this awesome looking and this faux MacBook keyboard and trackpad set up after waiting THREE MONTHS for to be with a product that doesn’t perform well. Even before the pandemic, the wait time was 2-3 months for it. You can bet I was upset with how this turned out.

I really liked the non-trackpad model of fhe Brydge Pro keyboard case for my 11" iPad Pro from 2018 but I can't recommend the model with the additional trackpad. The trackpad even with the most recent firmware is more frustrating than helpful. Thus in the past week I've found myself avoiding use of it more and more. I also find the bluetooth power saving feature of turning off to save power way too aggressive as the keyboard takes multiple seconds to reconnect each time which is annoying as it happens seemingly after a minute or two of inactivity so when reading or analyzing something I feel like I'm battling with it to not continuously break my concentration. The build quality is great and the keyboard remains very good. But overall I recommend the non-trackpad model if their is more than a $30 price difference.

Would buy again. Actually I did. Make sure you know the year of the device you bought.

All in all its great. The pad feels a little too 'clicky' (on the cheap side) but otherwise all GOOD!

Apple like build quality. Very easy to set up. Track pad out of the box was a little sensitive out of the box but very easily calibrated. Hopefully the IOS version of Excel improves it’s cutting and pasting capabilities. At that point I will find another use for my 2011 MacBook Pro and get a IMac Pro for working at home. Actually I would give it 4.5 stars

1) Purchased brydge because is was to be available before apple's magic keyboard. It was not and it came after!! 2)Functionality was to be as good as Apple's Magic Keyboard. It is not!! Not even close!!! 3) order the protective back cover that should have been included with the keyboard on 4/30/20. As of 5/19/20 the item has not shipped!!! 4) I cannot recommend. Spend the extra $50 get the Magic keyboard. You will not be disappointed!
