BTOD Bantam Office Chair Reviews

4.5 Rating 22 Reviews
I'm 5'0, 110 lbs, and I got the multi tilt option. Overall a great choice and I'm so relieved to have something that actually fits my small proportions! I think without the adjustable seat depth that comes with the multi tilt version, the chair would actually be too shallow. The arms go down 23.6" with my adjustable Uplift desk which works for me. I can sit in this chair in a variety of ways, from one or both legs tucked under to backwards with my chest leaning on the back. When I'm sitting straight, my feet are lightly on the ground. When I'm wearing slippers, it's even more comfortable because of the extra 1-2" under my feet, though you can also put your bare feet on the roller leg apparatus for a foot rest. One design flaw is the back height - if you pull it up, it doesn't stay up, but I personally don't need this feature. And perhaps it's broken because I ordered the refurbished outlet model. Glad to have had this chair + adjustable height desk for about one year now for my 40 hour work week!

Hi Serena, Thank you for sharing your experience with the BTOD Bantam Office Chair! We're thrilled to hear it fits your smaller proportions well and that the multi-tilt with adjustable seat depth has been helpful. About the back height you may have noticed its ratcheting feature “resets” if it’s pulled all the way up. This is normal for this style of back height adjustment. If you lift it all the way to the top, it will drop back down to the lowest position. The trick is to raise it in smaller clicks until you reach the height you prefer. If the backrest isn’t holding its position even with small ratcheting clicks, please reach out to us at service@btod.com and we’ll get it taken care of right away. Warm regards, BTOD.com - BTOD

I'm petite, 5'1". The seat height is great; the lowest height allows my feet to rest flat on the ground comfortably. The seat of the chair is also great- the seat depth is small enough to not hit the back of my knees/calves (!), and the cushioning is so thick and comfortable - just the right density for my weight. However, the seat back is a different story. It's too short, so the lumbar support hits too low, causing low back pain. I wish the seat back height had a few taller settings. The proportions seem a bit off (seat depth and height fit, but seat back way too short), but maybe that's just me. With so few options for petite ergonomic office chairs on the market, this is still overall a good chair.

The chair seat is too low for a petite person sitting at a workstation. There should be more height adjustments

Took a little while to get it. I do wish they would include the slider option in base price the chair itself even at base isn't cheap. I'm guessing that is the price you pay for being short. I will say it is very comfortable. I work 4-10hr shifts as a utilization review nurse and I also use a standing desk. My back and neck don't hurt and my feet are firmly on the ground when seated. I originally had purchased a gaming chair for half the price that was comfortable, reclined and massaged but was causing joint pain because it was too deep and I couldn't achieve proper posture. I'm short and have a petite frame. This chair works perfect. Pricey not sure how it will hold up time will tell though. If you are on the short side this is the chair for you. Seems to be well made.
