“I was very skeptical about the stability of the Duke as I looked at the photos and pictured in my mind that it would fall over on me as I raised it up and stood in front of it. Once it arrived and I began to put it together it became very evident that the base was heavy enough to prevent that from happening. The biggest challenge for me is that after having to sit at a computer for over 23 years I have to remind myself that I can now stand and when I do it is so nice!”
“I love my Duke stand up desk, I make a point to spend at least 2 hours in the morning and an hour in the afternoon standing. I feel so much better at the end of the day after not sitting for 8 hours straight. If I had to buy it again, I would not get the computer monitor hook up, it wasn't necessary since my monitor sits perfectly on the platform. It is super easy to raise and lower, I recommend using a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse so you don't have to deal with cords.”
“I made the commitment to stand the majority of the time and it is working out great. It fits in a relatively tight space and is sturdy. I have had no trouble with it wobbling. My only complaint is that the monitor is hard to easily adjust. I have it set at a comfortable height for standing, but then it is too high for when I do sit. The winged screws that twist to adjust are relatively short, so if you loosen them too much they fall out and the monitor somewhat dangles and the holes misalign and are hard to line up.”
