“I've only had the VertDesk for a few weeks, so cannot yet comment on its long-term performance and durability. However, my initial experience is very favorable. I selected VertDesk after doing considerable Internet-based "œresearch" on what is currently on the market, and I am comfortable that I made the right choice.
A key reason for my selecting the VertDesk was its smaller footprint, since I needed the converter to fit on the shallower-than-normal desk I have squeezed into my small home office. Most (all?) other converters have front-to-back dimensions at their lowest position that are several to more-than-several inches greater; probably none of them would have worked for me. That said, I would now probably select the VertDesk even if the footprint constraint didn't apply. I'm impressed with the VertDesk's build quality; it is solid, raises and lowers smoothly and noiselessly, and is very stable at the highest position I require. The infinite position lock is also a nice feature. Moreover, the delivered price of the VertDesk (sale price of $299, plus the 5% extra discount in January) was more than $100 less than that of the Varidesk Pro 36 and Pro Plus 36.
BTOD's website converter reviews provide much useful information "“ features, dimensions, prices, etc. "“ on the various products available. I find in retrospect that it's assessment of its own product also is quite fair. BTOD notes that the VertDesk's keyboard shelf is on the small side, although as a user of a conventional basic keyboard and mouse I'm OK with it. BTOD also notes that the monitor sits a bit high when the VertDesk is at its lowest position (when the user is sitting), a potential issue particularly for short users. This I found to be true even though I would describe my height as average "“ a shade over 5'-9" "“ and I will be using a seat cushion to raise my sitting position to compensate for that. It's possible that this would not be required if my office chair had another inch or two in maximum height adjustment. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about the VertDesk.”
“i could not be happier with my VertDesk! Works exactly as advertised. The nice thing about this desk vs. competitors is the fact that the mini desk that holds the keyboard is adjustable. As in you can adjust the angle so that your hands rest easier on the surface (not at rigid 90 degrees). I did find moving the desk up at it first was a bit stiff but once I put my external monitor and my macbook on top of it, it gave enough weight to make it easy to lift up or down with the hydraulic mechanisms. Thumbs up on this one!”
“it's a very nice unit, well made, fits good, makes back and neck feel much better after a days work. I bought this for the front desk in my Chiropractic office and my staff needs adjusted much less now.”
