Getting a laptop to work with a standing desk is tricky. In addition to the vert desk, I purchased a Rain stand, an external mouse, and an external keyboard. To get the correct ergonomics, I would recommend all of these. The unit is very stable and easy to adjust.
What could be improved?
An adjustable-height keyboard tray would help a lot, as well as a groove for the lower tray to allow easier use of the laptop keyboard for sitting. Also, an additional guard for the mouse should be included so it does not roll off when tilting the keyboard tray up OR down.
I think my setup is about as good as one might get for a laptop. See attached pictures for sitting and standing. The Rain stand is very nice for standing to give more height to laptop monitor.”
