Lotus Fine Oatmeal is produced by grinding the whole oat kernel into fine meal or flour. The oat grain is de-husked of the bran and then heated and cooled to produce a nutty flavour and stabilise the oat.

“I use a lot of oatmeal - for French Women Don't Get Fat breakfasts and to make plenty of No Wait Wheat-Oat bread. Although I have a Kitchen Aid attachment which is supposed to mill raw oats into fine oatmeal there have been some pretty funny disasters trying to use it, and it is painfully slow. Lotus Fine Oatmeal is a wonderful product and I hope you never run out of it.”

“Best option to replace Nature's Works fine oatmeal which has been deleted from them. The coarser typical oats upset my 90 year old Mother's stomach and she is very happy with this which she has every day to get her started.”

“this is marvelous for making oatcakes and panbread with the vitality of oats. For panbread I mix up a glass bowl of fine oatmeal, white wheat flour, brown rice flour and rye or barley flour in descending order of quantities. Add a salt and sesame oil for a nutty taste. Then water to a cake consistency. Store in the fridge for a week and use pancake style when liked with a raw salad veg topping. If it goes sour later it's just sourbread.”

“My 89 year old mother 'needs' it ! When Natures Own stopped supplying their fine oatmeal which she regularly bought for years she was devastated ! After research and seeking alternatives for her this fine oatmeal passed her test compared to other options ! Now I have a sated mother, at least in that department, to start her day.”
