“Everything is fine and the stamps leave a good clear impression in the leather. However (and only our transatlantic cousins would know why), the letter "I" has the same size base as the rest of the alphabet. So if, say, the if the word LIST is arranged with the letters shoulder to shoulder along a straight edge to keep them aligned, the gap either side of the letter "I" is double that between, say, "S" & "T". This gap is very pronounced and to fix it I had to file the stamp (with the letter "I" on it) down by about 3mm overall. This is nearly a third of the stamp width. Should we - the customers- really have to make this modification or should the factory try writing a word with these stamps and see for themselves? It's a good job that there are no letter "I"s' in "COMMON SENSE" the same applies exctly to the number set and the stamp with number "1". same problrm and same solution.”
