“The winch hook itself is fine but the design using a fragile circlip to hold the main pin in place is disappointing. The groove for the circlip is shallow and the circlip is so weak that it can easily be dislodged. A better design would be to use a roll pin or some other locking pin which would be sturdier and less prone to damage.”

Hi Arthur, . I'm sorry to hear your hook pin wasn't up to scratch. We sell a lot of these and rarely have any issues so I can only guess that you've unfortunately received a faulty pin. Further to your phone conversation with Greg, I have just checked a new pin and circlip and found it to hold well, as it should, so i have packed it and it will leave Australia Post this afternoon to you Best Regards Dave
