“Amazing bed frame. I did tons of research and I'm so happy I found Carolina Leg Co. The frame oesn't squeek or shake and feels like it is built to last, unlike other beds you can find from some of the major retailers. It comes unfinished. I used Rubio Monocoat Pure and the ash turns a lovely light honey color & brings the grain out well. Very easy to put together. The design is beautiful. I love everything about this frame & highly recommend it if you want a sturdy, beautiful frame!”
“This bed is made in the USA and the quality shows! It didn't take too long to put together, but it did take 2 people. It is the perfect height for under the bed storage. We painted the frame with chalk paint and stained the headboard. It's a beautiful bed! The lead time was about 3 weeks. Be patient, the wait is worth it!”
“Fantastic bed. I finished mine with some Rubio monocoat. Originally, one of the pieces they sent out was missing some parts. I emailed and they responded within minutes. They sent out a whole new part the next day. This did take a month to ship but well worth the wait, but keep in mind if you need a bed asap. You won’t find a solid wood bed for this price anywhere else.”
“Bed took a little longer to ship than I expected (5 weeks), but now that it's here I love it. Wasn't hard to put together with two people and feels sturdy and stable. First month sleeping on it has been wonderful.”
“The Upton is a beautiful bed! I love the tone and graining of the wood. We are using it in our spare bedrooms, so I am going to leave it raw.
Would definitely recommend, easy to put together and even sturdier than our Amish bed in our master. Love it!!!”
“We are very happy the bed frame! It was my first time finishing wood, and although it's definitely some effort (mostly time), it turned out nicely! Would highly recommend the book Wood Finishing 101 by Bob Flexner. I first sanded down to 180, then used water-based polyurethane, then sanded to 220, and applied two more coats. There were some knicks and other marks that I was mostly able to sand out (with 150, then 180), but after the bed is finished, put together, and in use, any imperfections quickly fade into the background.”
