“I purchased this as a gift. I was able to follow its progress through the mail. The only thing was, I failed to ask soon enough how it would be received, eg a note enclosed saying who it was from. I don’t know what paperwork was enclosed because I did not consider this beforehand. I must assume it reached the person, as per the verification of delivery. However they did not contact me to say it was received by them. It was designed as a surprise gift. The compass in question though I would very much recommend the item as I have bought it in the store previously”
“Arrived in a poor condition, must have been in the shop for years, we had to glue down the outside of the box wear it was peeling away, glue the inside as the white lining had come away and I had to clean the black felt off the white lining as best I could, this must have been in the shop for years because I had to buy label remover to take the label off the back, I've been a customer for many years, but it would seem my custom is not wanted, I had at least expected some sort of good well gesture, maybe a voucher to spend in the shop, but I've better things to spend my money on, never again. Have Carrolls not heard of quality control”

Sorry you had a negative experience here. Our stock is taken from a shop floor, and as per your email I can see that the quality of the packaging on this item was not up to standard. I know we already offered you a replacement but you were unable to accept as it was time sensitive as a gift.
