ThenWilson 1000 said to insert whip about an inch into base as a starting point which I did. Buddy with MFJ antenna analyzer comes over to help dial it in. Find SWR. on Ch 1 is 1.2:1 while Ch 40 was 1.5:1. The sweet spot was Ch 20 with a SWR of 1:1. Oddly enough his meter showed an impedance of 60 ohms on Ch 40.
We didn’t make any further adjustments calling the inch per instructions close enough to perfect.
Find the performance difference between the Wilson 1k and the Lil Wil is like day and night. Would trade the Lil Wil for a six pack.”
