“We have Miniature Schnauzers. When we bought one from a breeder in 2014 she recommended Challenge products and we have fed all our dogs with your food ever since. Then one of our dogs died young from kidney failure and it got me wondering if dried food is no good for Schnauzers who have fussy kidneys at the best of times. After some research, I am starting to think that Schnauzers should only eat wet food and the only way your food would be any good was if it is soaked in water or goat milk before feeding. This is not a criticism of Challenge but of dry food for certain breeds of dogs. If I could find some proper scientific evidence that dry food is not a contributory factor in kidney failure then I might reconsider. I am aware that 1 in 3 cats get kidney problems possibly from dry food. Otherwise I cannot criticise the quality or content of your food, although I did prefer the 2.5kg bags. I think much more research should be done into dogs that die young from kidney failure and what they ate during their lifetime to see if there is any correlation. I very much doubt that I will ever buy any dry food from anyone again.
