About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

The tabletop is polished to a satin finish with nothing but slight variations in the grain of the boards to alert the observer to the fact it is not made of a single plank. Every day is a pleasure, every chance to dine an occasion. We love our table and look forward to years of enjoyment.”

“Paired with the Saco chairs this table couldn’t be better. Absolutely stunning! Solid, sleek construction. We couldn’t love it more. Will be passing this down to our children someday.”

“The table is attractive, sturdy and has clean lines. It seats 6 comfortably but can't seat many more than that due it it's narrow width. So far I am really happy with the table.”

“We are a family of five with a smaller size dining room. We bought this table (with the center extension) and I cannot rave about this furniture enough! First of all, the quality exceeds all expectations. The table is solid, but not chunky or bulky. Adding the extension accommodates family and it still retains it's solid feel. Secondly, it's holding up beautifully well to the wear and tear of everyday use by an 11 year old, 8 year old and 5 year old - plus the parents. We use it for everything and it still looks brand new over a year later. This table is made for busy families. Lastly, the table is extremely well priced. Given the quality and the beauty of the piece, we could not have found better and we had been shopping for a long while. Once we found this table, we looked no further. We also purchased six matching chairs. (Those are just as wonderful!)”
