“We enjoyed our trip to the Eastern and Western tip of Greenland. We saw icebergs, glaciers and remote Greenlandic settlements. The ship ocean Victory was very comfortable, the expedition leaders experienced and the lectures informative. The hospitality staff could not do enough for you. The daily excursions via zodiac were always so interesting.”

“Don’t get me wrong: for many people this would be an absolute corker of a trip but I had different expectations based on previous destination-centric travels. I.e. this was more ‘cruise’ than the advertised ‘expedition’.”

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving The jackets supplied to the passengers were supposed to be waterproof but were not. Fortunately it only rained once in the off boat tours but left many wet and cold.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. Chimu was good at providing details. Way too long of a trip. Could have been done in 5 days.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving The last day of driving us around until our flight at 4:00 PM was a complete waste of everyones time and everyone was so ready to go home. You all need to have the flight for the morning or noon. It was an absolute waste of a day for all of us.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving The gym on the boat was overcrowded and needed and revamp. Boat needed a spa/sauna. On the last day, we got off the boat at 8am. Everyone on the entire ship was ready to go home, but we had to get on a bus and drive hours to a glacier (after we’d seen so many) and then hours back to the airport for the charter flight. Just make the charter flight for as soon as we have to disembark. Whole last day was a total waste. Also, the expedition leaders must have been off the clock by then because they acted like none of us existed. Literally didn’t even say hello to us.went from being wonderful to absolutely rude.

Were you satisfied with the efforts taken to minimize environmental impacts during your trip?

“Great way to experience the culture and nature of Greenland. Well curated trip on a comfortable boat. Greenland has no roads between town/villages so by boat is the only way to cover a lot of territory in a fast manner.”

“The Arctic is unique and amazing. We played hide and seek with the polar bears. They hid and we found them. 6 of them. The wildlife is so diverse.”
