Radisson Blue Plaza in Oslo could not provide the "superior room with views of the fjiord" because it a double king size bed, and my daughter and i had asked for twin single beds. The hotel finally relegated us to a "disabled" room (with no views) and when one of us had a shower water spilled all over the bathroom floor. The phone in the room wqasn't working (nor was the TV!) so my daughter had to go down to Reception to get towels to mop up the fllor before we could use the toilet/bathroom again. I have asked Chimu to obtain a refund for us, but so far I have heard nothing from them or Radisson.

Tes, our Expedition Team picked up big bags of rubbish on the shores.

No, only in the Museum and cafes at Longyearbyen was their any opportunity to talk with local people.
