“The Citizen BM8180-03E is a solid everyday watch and a great value overall. On the plus side, the Eco-Drive is super convenient—no battery changes to worry about. The watch looks great in person, has a clean field watch style, and the price point is very reasonable. I also really like the day, date complication, which makes it more practical for daily use. Timekeeping has been very accurate as well. The 37mm size is a bit small by modern standards, but still very wearable and comfortable for everyday use. Build quality feels good for the price, lightweight but not cheap, and it’s a versatile watch that works well casually and with different straps. That said, there are a few downsides. The strap it comes with is pretty stiff and uncomfortable out of the box, though that’s an easy fix. A bigger issue for me is the crown, t’s not screw-down, which would have added a lot more confidence. Even though it’s rated at 100m water resistance, the lack of a screw-down crown doesn’t really inspire confidence for water use. Also, the lume is disappointing. It looks great and has a nice blue color initially, but it fades quickly and isn’t very visible in low light. Another minor downside is the mineral crystal, it would’ve been nice to have sapphire for better scratch resistance, especially since some competing watches in this price range offer it. Overall, it’s still a good deal for a nice-looking, reliable watch. Just a few small improvements, better strap, stronger lume, sapphire crystal, and a screw-down crown, would have made it excellent.”

“After a decade or so of wearing fitness trackers and reaching my goals, I needed a watch. I tried one from your competitors and found it to be too heavy and came off too easily. This watch suits my needs perfectly! I am an athletic, active retired woman with a 6 1/4" wrist, and I know this is listed under men's watches, but this is the perfect watch for me. Please make more watches with Arabic numerals!”

“I have been wearing my new Garrison daily for a little over a week and am very pleased with it. It was super easy to setup and so far has kept perfect time. My only complaint is that the band is either too lose or to tight on me. The grommets have zero give. I'm hoping by wearing it tight it will stretch a little because it looks good. A new band would be easy and inexpensive to replace, if necessary.”

“I was looking for an inexpensive "military" watch to add to my extensive collection of much higher end watches. I really like the Citizen Garrison. Very legible face and nice size for my smaller wrist. Actually, it's pretty classy. The strap was made in Thailand according to a small sticker on the back of the watch. The strap is shedding some fabric "fluff" and I expect that will stop as it ages just a bit. The fit is OK even considering the large grommet type holes. The best part - it keeps perfect time and I'm a new fan of EcoDrive.”

“I purchased this about five years ago @ a local Sam's Club. I didn't care for the original band, and since changed to a rubber type black/grey two piece. I wear this watch all day/night. Showers, sleeping, exercising...everything. I love it. Keeps perfect time.”
