I had to purchase this watch again due to losing my original while wake surfing. I love the watch! The band on my original wore out and broke down after 3-4 years, $80 bucks to replace with Citizen just a couple months ago, so needless to say I was bummed to lose it. BUT, I did love the watch enough to buy it again!

I've had this watch for about eighteen years and I'm just about to replace the band .. whenever it's dead, I just leave it on my windowsill for ten minutes and it is charged up enough to be good to go.. I've never had to do anything to it. it's a classic and I get compliments on it all the time.

I bought this same watch in about 2008 or so I guess. +/-$80. Never wore it til about 2015. I found it in my dresser one day after having it so long without ever wearing it, and it wasn't working, so I laid it on top with the intention I'd just throw it in the trash one day. A few weeks later, I looked at it and surprisingly after sitting in my dresser for all those years in the dark, it was alive. So from then on I wore it, u til about a uear ago. I went fishing and lost it, so I bought a new one, which I was extremely happy. Surprisingly I found the o e I thought I lost, so now I had 2 watches. One for work, and a nice one. Unfortunately the newest one I bought got for real lost, and I just purchased my third. So I now have a nice one and a work one again. While I was really impressed with the one I bought in 2008 coming alive after over 6 years in the dark, I'm not too happy with the last ones watch band. I think they changed suppliers and this one just doesn't feel the same. Its the canvas band, which on the other two i liked alot, tgis one tho, .....I don't like it. Maybe I'm wrong about changing suppliers, but I don't think I am. Other than that, I'm still wearing the one I got in 2008 at this very moment. Just a nice simple watch that does what it is supposed to do. I have had to change the band a couple times. I guess I'll never find one as good as the original.

Awesome watch! Nicest watch I have. Bought this as a daily beater but right now I’m using it as my going out watch. Later when I upgrade to a better citizen I’ll use it daily. Looking forward to many years of use.

This is my second Citizen watch. I love that they are solar powered. My last watch lasted over 10 years with hard use as a horticulturist. This watch is very nice but bigger than I was expecting. I don’t love the grommets for holes either. But I don’t like any of the women’s watches Citizen carries. This one is very much my style just big

I purchased this watch as I like a slightly smaller watch, in fact, I would really like the Garrison in a 35-36mm size. Why is there no owner's manual included?, I like a hard copy of instructions to review settings. Not everyone has 100% access to the internet to constantly go into your site for instructions. There is a card included which depicts how Citizen is helping to eliminate non-degradable batteries from landfills with this watch. Then there are two warnings on and in the watch case warning about the hazardous batteries which are in the watch.....! Confusing at best. The watch did not have a protective cover over the bezel, this is too expensive to ship with out a cover, why the oversight? Watch looks nice, time will tell if it's accurate and comfortable over the long haul.

The Garrison has been a great field watch for me. I have worn it for about a year and a half. My biggest gripe about it is that the crystal sits up about .5mm above the bezel. This causes the mineral glass crystal to be easily broken. I have even replaced it with a sapphire crystal and it has still broken. The watch itself is great but this design flaw and the sub-optimal band leaves some things to be desired.
