“People saying that they can't read the dial are just being contrary. Seriously, it's a non-issue. If you're not a fan of a blacked-out design, then you got the wrong watch. If you want the best-looking blacked-out watch on the market, then this is for you! I mean that wholeheartedly. I've not seen another all-black watch that looks as good as this one. Even the other Nighthawk models don't come close. After hundreds of wears, I did begin having some issues with the end pieces of the bracelet popping out of place. This was frustrating, but I can't even knock it down to 4-stars because this watch is just beautiful and help up for years before that started.”

“I bought my Nighthawk watch from our local Doland Jewelers a couple months ago. This was a spontaneous purchase and I’m so glad that I purchased this watch. The look is great the wieght is perfect and i can wear it casual out for special occasions. This is my first citizen or any high end watch for that matter, but will definitely be staying with citizen for here on out.”

“I purchased this sleek looking watch while on a cruise in Nassau. I had my prescription sunglasses on in the store, so I thought that was the reason the watch seemed extra dark. When we arrived back at the ship and I wore my regular glasses, the dials were still extremely difficult to read indoors. Much to my dismay, the watch was challenging to read outside as well. I can only wear the watch in complete daylight. I would only use the watch as a daytime watch. The dials are not luminous in dark conditions, so don’t purchase it if you are looking for a do it all watch. This watch is just for outside on the brightest day.”

“the watch itself is nice looking but unless you are in fairly bright light its difficult to read, it would have been nice if they put a light in it”

“I absolutely love this watch. Yeah, it’s black.. its supposed to be.. the blue accents I find set the deep black off perfectly. For my young generation eyes, I have zero problems seeing the dial. I could see it being difficult to read for someone that has lesser quality vision. I guess I don’t see why anyone would post anything negative about it. What you see is what you get, and I love it!”
