Promaster Dive Automatic Reviews

An iconic classic is reimagined in the polished style of the new Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch. Going deeper into history of the original version of this diving watch, it was used by the Italian Navy and released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a fugu, the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a 3-piece, 44mm case, a sapphire crystal, and a silver-tone stainless steel case and bracelet, the black rotating bezel with an easy-grip aluminum ring surrounds the white dial and luminous hands and markers, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and stylish sport watch comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank box and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

I really like the design of this watch with the white dial but prefer ecodrives more. Don't wear watches every day and this automatic loses power reserve. Too much trouble resetting time, date, etc. I regret buying this watch.

I have been wanting a white dial. Doesn't seem industry thought that was what consumers wanted. So many colors and black dials. Looks so clean and the layout is so well designed. Great watch! Next watch I am looking for is a gold chronograph with white dial.

The classic almost retro look of the white face and black bezel is what drew me to this watch. It is a unique look, and I don't have any other watches with this design. I think the 44mm size is about perfect - the watch is easy to read, and comfortable to wear. As with most watches, it looks better in person than in the on-line photos. I don't have experience with Citizen automatics, but if it is reliable as my Eco-Drive watches I'm sure I'll enjoy this watch for years. If there was an Eco-Drive watch with this design, I would have purchased it instead, but there is not. I had been looking at this watch for a while. I did not need another watch but decided to pull the trigger and I am glad I did. I purchased it from a major on-line retailer which improved the value equation.

I have never been disappointed with a Citizen watch. I truly like the automatic ones best and I have been wanting this watch for a while. Very happy with it.

An extremely nice watch with just as much fit-and-finish as my Rolex Submariner. Weight is comparable, crown locks down in same manner, and watch has a nice hacking movement. As shipped, watch is a little large requiring one link to be removed. Overall, a great watch !!

I find reading the time on my watch during the day difficult because the hands and numbers blend into the white background. Returning the watch was challenging due to issues between the Citizen warehouse and UPS. Despite my prompt return, the warehouse rejected the delivery, claiming that UPS had damaged the watch. As a result, the watch was returned to me, and I had to figure out a way to send it back to Citizen. To make matters worse, Customer Care arranged for UPS Ground shipping, even though the agreement specified a Priority shipment. This whole process could have been much simpler and more customer-focused.
