Dive in with the high-performance sport style of a fully luminous dial. The new Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen goes deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch that was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a fugu, the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a fully luminous dial and a 3-piece, 44mm case with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and an all-black ion-plated stainless steel case and bracelet, this iconic men’s dive watch is a reimagining of the original. The black rotating bezel with a black easy-grip aluminum ring surrounds the easy-to-see fully luminous dial, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and automatic sport watch comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

I currently own 3 Fugu's. I am left handed and wear them on my right wrist. This one is the only high visibility dial in my collection. It is my favorite in appearance. The lack of contrast between the hands and the dial make it nearly impossible to identify the time in the dark, a non issue with my other 2 Fugu's. I am considering modifying this one, but opening the case to paint the hands a darker color presents its own set of challenges.

great watch but hands are same color as face - impossible to read at night

I think this watch is a really good looking watch, it feels heavy and very durable. I like the fully luminous dial, but I will likely pay to change the hands to a darker hand that is not luminous. The hands are very easy to read during the day and within the first 30 minutes to an hour of being inside after the lume is charged up. When the lume is charged it glows very bright! Once the lume starts to fade the hands really disappear into the rest of the dial and become difficult to read. That is my only gripe about the watch. Otherwise I think it’ll be a nice piece to wear for years to come!

Disappointed because it was smaller in real life than I expected. The picture made it look bigger. I am going to keep this watch and wear it but not as much as I expected.

A present for my husband, and he loves it. Beautiful watch, looks even better in person.

This watch looks really cool with the black case and green dial. I love the full lume dial, it makes me feel like the watch is alive. It is a great watch but not perfect. I so want to give this watch 5 stars but can't and it's really just for one issue. The hour and minute hands have no contrast against the dial. Now you can see the hands during the day just fine, in a dark (with light) room just fine, when the dial has a lot of lume just fine but when the lume is low and the room is really dark or out side at night it is impossible to tell the time. This because the hands and dial are the same color. I had read other reviews that stated this but said, nah i will be able to see the outline of the hands. Nope. If they used a different lume color on the hands or made them more solid it would be 5 star. If you don't care about that then this watch looks awesome, it is heavy at 166g, but I love the crown on the left side. I wish more companies would do this, it totally eliminates the crown digging in to my hand.
